21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Program at Drew Freeman Middle School

The STEER Center intends to apply for a 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) Grant, due April 2, 2021. The 21st CCLC provides opportunities for both public and private students in Suitland and surrounding communities. STEER seeks to consult with private schools on how to provide services to their students and families as well as what services can be provided to private school students. Overview of the 21st CCLC Program

The 21st CCLC Program, Project Achieve, is funded by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Our program provides academic instruction and academic enrichment designed to enhance math and literacy skills and foster social-emotional learning and growth through project-based learning for 6th, 7th and 8th graders that is aligned to the school-day program. 

Currently, Project Achieve is meeting virtually on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:45pm (due to COVID-19 restrictions).
