The Suitland Technology Center

Overview:

The project is the renovation of the old Dino’s restaurant into the STEER Center.The STEER Center is 7,216 sq. ft. facility located at 4508 Suitland Road, adjacent to the Suitland Elementary School.  It is the first commercial development project designed to revitalize the Suitland Business District.  The STEER Center's goal is to create a viable economic and STEM education center to create new FTE jobs in Suitland, give residents increased access to state-of-the-art STEM training and services, and offer small businesses and entrepreneurs office space.

Planned Services:

The products and services to be offered at the STC include:

  1. Leased office spaces – one large office and 3 small offices (1,602 sq. ft)
  2. Training room (1,429 sq. ft);
  3. An informal learning Climate Science/Prince George’s Urban Agriculture Center (1,848 sq. ft);
  4. Tech Café (908 sq. ft)
  5. Common space includes a concierge center (1,429 sq. ft.).   

The facility is on approximately is adjacent to Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) –Suitland Mini Park.

The Suitland Technology Center will officially open its doors Spring 2015.
